Tessa Carranza-Hawthorn acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Word.Haus was originally founded, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. She pays her respects to their Elders, past and present and extends that respect to all First Nations, Torres Strait Islander and Maori peoples. 

Tessa also pays her respects to the Traditional Custodians of the land on which she now lives and works, that of the ancient Mexica of la Gran Antigua Tenochtitlán. She acknowledges and respects their cultures, custodial voices and wisdom from which she has been privileged to source inspiration that she now channels throughout Word.Haus.
